Yet another Wild Life Sanctuary

Entering Tamilnadu from Kerala to go to Nilambur in Kerala!
They have all kinds of checks on one litre water bottles, alcohol bottles even for a transit passenger

Tea gardens in this Gudallur area are beautiful

Its plains here; not slopes

Didn't know Parrys has a tea plantation. Remembered Nutrine too!

Its Murugappa Group. Then I connected Parrys to bathrooms!

Entry to Teak Museum at Nilambur

Impressed with the state transport (KSRTC) bus conductor who was a de-facto guide.

At the porch

Frogs playing Chess
Fun element for kids

Garden around the Teak Museum

Well manicured

Various things made out of Teak

Art in Teak

He is a part of 'Budget Tourism' project of Kannur KSRTC

Root of a 'giant' teak which lived 450 years
It was cut in 1994. Total length of the tree was 20.40 meters

Milestones in history during these 450 years
From Akbar's birth in 1542 to establishment of KFRI in 1975.

That's how much the tree had grown each 50 years

Cut Radio and the box. Reminiscence of a bygone era..

Teak Pathayam (granary) Our pathayams were never teak.

Nice depiction of a 'teak drawing room'

I love bamboos

While in Nilambur, I thought must visit Kovilakam (Abode of the vassals)
